003 | VENEER

무늬목은 0.2mm ~ 2.0mm 정도의 두께로 얇게 깎아 낸 목재 자재를 통칭하는 말이며, 원목과 같은 효과를 내기 위해 MDF 파티클보드, 합판 철판 등에 붙여 사용합니다. 무늬목은 가공 방법, 두께, 결에 따라 분류할 수 있는데, 원목과 마찬가지로 그 종류도 많고 두께나 용도도 다양합니다. 두께 또는 건조 상태에 따라 습식무늬목과 건식무늬목, 가공 방법에 따라서는 천연무늬목과 집성무늬목 등으로 나눌 수 있습니다. 또한 나무의 수종, 나이테의 특성에 따라서 절삭 방법이 결정되며 결(무늬)이 다르게 표현되는데, 곧은결 혹은 무늬결 등으로 분류할 수 있습니다.

Veneer is a term for thin wood materials shaved to a thickness between 0.2mm to 2.0mm. It's commonly used after attecged on materials like MDF particle boards, plywood, steel plates, and fire doors to mimic the look of solid wood. Venner comes in different types based on how it's processed, its thickness, and the pattern of the wood grain. Just like solid wood, there are many kinds of patterned wood with different thicknesses and uses.

패브릭은 천연 섬유나 합성 섬유를 실로 짜서 만든 직물로, 공간과 제품 전반에 널리 사용됩니다. 원단의 직조 방식, 두께, 촉감에 따라 구분할 수 있으며, 종류 또한 다양합니다. 직조 방식에 따라 평직, 능직, 자카드 등으로 나눌 수 있고, 사용되는 섬유 재질에 따라 면, 마, 울, 폴리에스터 등으로 구분할 수 있습니다. 또한 빛을 통과시키는 정도나 표면 질감에 따라 투명한 쉬어 원단부터 두꺼운 암막 원단까지 그 용도와 분위기가 달라지며, 가볍고 유연한 특성으로 다양한 공간의 분위기를 조율하는 특징을 갖고 있습니다.

Fabric is a textile woven from natural or synthetic fibers, widely used across spaces and products. It can be categorized by weaving method, thickness, and texture, with a wide variety of types available. Based on weaving techniques, it can be divided into plain weave, twill, jacquard, and more, while fiber content includes cotton, linen, wool, and polyester. The degree of light transmission and surface texture also determine its use and atmosphere, ranging from sheer fabrics to heavy blackout fabrics. With its lightweight and flexible qualities, fabric has the unique ability to modulate the ambiance of diverse spaces.
